Australian based HydGene Renewables raises $6M AUD in seed funding round
HydGene Renewables is an innovative start-up providing an alternative green hydrogen solution. Their technology converts biomass waste into green hydrogen on-site and on-demand using an engineered biocatalyst.
HydGene Renewables was enabled by early support from Bioplatforms through sponsorship of iGEM teams, connectivity with industry, and support of a Business Research and Innovation Grant and an Australian Renewable Energy Agency Grant.
They have now announced the successful closure of their seed funding round, having secured $6 million AUD from a strategic investor consortium led by Agronomics and accompanied by Clean Energy Finance Corp (CEFC), Understorey Ventures and NOAB Ventures.
