Bioplatforms Australia is proud to partner with Therapeutic Innovation Australia (TIA), Phenomics Australia, and ANSTO to support translational medical research through the Pipeline Accelerator voucher scheme.
The initiative, launched by TIA, tackles the medical products challenge identified in the 2021 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap. Through NCRIS, the scheme provides researchers and SMEs with access to cutting-edge facilities that span the full research pipeline: from molecular discovery to clinical trials.
The Pipeline Accelerator vouchers offset access costs to TIA and Phenomics Australia facilities. In this round, supplementary vouchers are also available for Bioplatforms Australia and ANSTO’s National Deuteration Facility (NDF), provided the application includes a TIA and/or Phenomics Australia voucher.
The program is designed to:
- Support experimental development often excluded from traditional grant funding
- Lower financial barriers for researchers and SMEs
- Increase awareness of NCRIS-supported capabilities
- Foster cross-disciplinary projects
- Build experience for early- and mid-career researchers
Key dates – 2025–26 Round 1
- Applications open: 8 September 2025
- Applications close: 31 October 2025, 5pm (AEST)
- Assessment: November–December 2025
- Awards announced: December 2025
- Project start: Within 6 months of award
- Project completion: Within 12 months of commencement
