– ABOUT
Pipeline Accelerator Voucher Scheme
Supporting translational medical research
Bioplatforms Australia is partnering with Therapeutic Innovation Australia (TIA), Phenomics Australia, and ANSTO to tackle the medical products challenge in the 2021 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap. Through NCRIS, we give researchers and SMEs access to facilities spanning molecular research to clinical trials.
TIA has launched the Pipeline Accelerator, a voucher scheme that offsets costs of using advanced infrastructure. Applicants can apply for vouchers to access TIA and Phenomics Australia facilities, with supplementary options for Bioplatforms Australia and ANSTO’s National Deuteration Facility.
The program aims to:
- Support experimental development often excluded from grant funding
- Lower financial barriers for researchers and SMEs
- Increase awareness of NCRIS-supported capabilities
- Foster cross-disciplinary projects
- Build experience for early- and mid-career researchers

2025-26 Round 2 – now open!
In this round of the Pipeline Accelerator, Bioplatforms joins Therapeutic Innovation Australia (TIA), Phenomics Australia, and ANSTO’s National Deuteration Facility (NDF) to broaden the infrastructure and expertise available for medical research.
The vouchers help cover access costs at TIA and Phenomics Australia facilities. Applicants can also request supplementary vouchers for Bioplatforms and NDF, but only if a TIA and/or Phenomics voucher is included in the same application.
Full details on eligibility, funding levels, co-investment, and the application process are in the guidelines document. Please read them carefully before applying. Applications must be submitted online using the form linked in the guidelines.
The scheme values diverse teams. Early-career and female researchers are especially encouraged to apply as lead applicants.
