Project Manager

Mabel completed her PhD in microbiology, investigating how the dysentery bacteria, Shigella, causes infection. From there, she spent two years in a national commercial genomics service provider managing DNA extraction projects, working closely with clients from diverse industries.

She is a Project Manager at Bioplatforms Australia. Mabel leadsseveral large national collaborative open-data initiatives in plant genomics, antibiotic resistance and stem cell characterisation. Each project is unique in its approach and outcomes, consisting of diverse groups of stakeholders across academia, government agencies, e-research organisations and Bioplatforms network service providers.
